Come support the Community Food Bank by gleaning orange trees on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to ?? (no later than 2:00 p.m.) at Sunset Ridge Townhomes, located at 680 W. Rushwood, Tucson, AZ. CFB has asked for 10 TEP CAT volunteers of any age (7 and older recommended) to work to pick oranges from trees within the mobile home community, which have been donated to the Community Food Bank to feed the community. It takes about 1 hour for one person to glean a tree and there are approximately 10 trees, so this event might not last very long. It is suggested that volunteers wear closed-toed shoes, long sleeved shirts and are asked to wear a blue TEP CAT volunteer T-shirt, if possible. CFB will provide the sticks/tools to pick the fruit and they do have gloves for you to use. You will need to take your own water and a snack (optional) and have a plan of where to go for potty breaks. There are no restrooms or water available.
